Last year we saw Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton) and Harry Hart (Colin Firth) return to the screen in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service. The two films, which has brought much attention to our beloved double-breasted suits paid homage to the James Bond franchise as they attempted to supersede them. Due to delays in the production of the 25th instalment of the James Bond franchise recently the new Kingsman film as gotten a new release date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kingsman 3 will drop on November 9th, 2019, with Matthew Vaughn returning to write and direct the sequel. Very little is known about the third entry, including details about the plot, returning cast members and new additions to the ensemble. Even so, it seems one of the primary reasons 20th Century Fox felt comfortable in confirming Kingsman 3‘s new release date was the fact that, thanks to Bond 25‘s being delayed until early 2020, the November 9th weekend is no longer occupied by another spy flick.
With Danny Boyle leaving the project in August, Cary Fukunaga has now been given the lead on Bond 25 pushing it back by some time and give Kingsman 3 the opportunity to grab the November release date.
Here at Scotch and Rich we're huge fans of both the Kingsman movies and the James Bond movies. They both bring classical British style into the limelight with the Kingman spies donning impressive double-breasted suits and James Bond rocking great dinner jackets with the open bow tie look.
