Our favourite DB suits in Bond

Our favourite DB suits in Bond

June 29, 2018

Although Commander James Bond tends to stick to a classical single-breasted suit, there have been many instances over the years where he's sported a double-breasted suit. Furthermore we've seen other characters such as M and Bill Tanner sporting one both recently and in the past and it's also a favourite choice amongst villains.

Let's have a look at our favourite Double-Breasted suits in the Bond series over the years...

Ralph Fiennes as M in James Bond | Scotch and Rich

Ralph Fiennes as 'M' is sports multiple Double-Breasted suits in the films. Here in Spectre he's wearing a navy chalk stripe double-breasted suit with both buttons fastened. Usually we recommend just fastening one, however due to being an Admiral in the Royal Navy, it reflects how a naval officer would wear his uniform. As we know, the DB suit has it's heritage in the Royal Navy.

Roger Moore in The Man with the Golden Gun | Scotch and Rich

Another favourite of ours is Roger Moore wearing a classic grey double-breasted suit in The Man with the Golden Gun. Sir Roger Moore was one of the most stylist men to ever live and he loved sporting a DB suit, both as Bond but also in other roles as well as in his personal life.

Bill Tanner wearing a double-breasted suit in for your eyes only | Scotch and Rich

James Villiers plays Bill Tanner in For Your Eyes Only and sports this lovely charcoal flannel double-breasted suit. He's gone for the Prince George, Duke of Kent look by just fastening the bottom button.
